The songs on the pages of this site
This is currently a collection of songs, arranged as they are
grouped on the CDs I completed - A page per CD.
The CDs were recorded with excellent quality, either directly digital
recordings,
or 32-bit analog to digital conversion. The quality of the music
stream that you can listen to from this website however, was
decreased slightly, to allow lower speed internet connections to
listen as well, without the sound stream breaking up.
Where this all got started
There is so many good music that was written or recorded by
excellent artists, singers and songwriters over many years.
Unfortunately, the recording technology of say fifty or hundred
years ago, was not all that good, compared to today's standards.
What I set out to do, was to recreate some of these older
songs with today's recording technology, and sing them.
Of course in choosing which songs to do, I am
influenced by a combination of music I grew up with and songs
suited for my vocal range.
It is easy to fall into a "nostalgic" trap, where the songs
I choose becomes either increasingly sentimental, or more
"forgotten". I try to avoid that though.
I hope you enjoy listening to them, and I appreciate your
input, or suggestions for other songs to be added.
